<agl7> clover[m]: yeah, In my EndeavourOS installation for the x13s suddenly the sound goes although I only compiled and installed the kernel 6.5.0-rc5-0-x13s-rc+ and the volume is very loud. When I turn the slider up to 100% it is slightly distorted but much louder than on Windows!
<agl7> clover[m]: I'll still install EndeavourOS again with your new ISO image (archiso) from August 3, 2023: 1. I'm testing with it your archiso image and 2. I have a not so configured and a whole new system and this time with btrfs. How the installation process will be with your new archiso image, I will let you know. Since I'm on vacation this week, I can dedicate myself to the reinstallation in the next few days.
<agl7> clover[m]: Here in Central Europe is 11:23 pm o'clock! Latest at 0:00 am o'clock I will go to bed.
<agl7> I hope I do so!!! ;-)

<akaWolf> clover[m]: I didn't read log, sorry, but I've tried install latest rc from your rep and left without sound xD what am I missing?
<clover[m]> uhh, the latest alsa-ucm-conf-git-x13s and x13s-firmware
<akaWolf> clover[m]: yeah, I've updated and it's fine, thanks for response. is it known issue that recording is happening with distortions?
<clover[m]> if you are still showing dummy output, try a reboot. if its still dummy output, then i dont know what the issue is. check you dmesg to see if it is finding the new sound firmware
<clover[m]> akaWolf: yes many people are getting distortions with the internal microphone
<akaWolf> yeah, it's working now, looks like something is changed in alsa or fw
<akaWolf> clover[m]: ok, so it's known
<clover[m]> let us know if you get better battery life. there should be improvements with the latest rc
<akaWolf> clover[m]: in sleep mode?
<clover[m]> not sure. from s t e e v: it's johan's stuff, followed with the laptop defconfig (i haven't changed the options that he mentioned yet), some patches to set icc-bandwidth dynamically, add missing cpu idle states, and...the ASPM support from mani, that should shave some power usage
