clover[m]: oh, yeah, heard about that, wasn't just gnome that was affected
<steev>
HdkR: i don't actually know... i don't actually do the pauth stuff in my cmdline arguments, but i do iommu ones
<HdkR>
steev: Needed to do it before otherwise GDB gets really upset when it can't read pauth registers

HdkR: i updated the pauth hack in my wip branch when you (?) reported the gdb issue so that it's equivalent to the command line parameter
<jhovold>
so you don't need to pass it for now
<jhovold>
still waiting on lenovo to say whether they have given up on fixing their fw or not which would allow us to drop the hack/cmdline parameter
<HdkR>
jhovold: Ah cool

For audio support on an X13s with Kernel 6.5... Can I just load some Kernel module or should it just work or do I have to do more than just adding a Kernel module or is it still not ready?
<erebion[m]>
Just updated it to newer Ubuntu, last update was 9 days ago. Now it no longer recognises the SIM slot.
<erebion[m]>
mmcli just says "slot 1: none" and "slot 2: none"
<erebion[m]>
So it does not notice that a SIM is present
<erebion[m]>
Oh, sorry. Looks like the SIM decided to just give up and not work anymore.
<erebion[m]>
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
<jhovold>
erebion[m]: audio depends on having the latest ucm files and fw, and I doubt ubuntu has those packaged as some of it isn't even upstream yet
<jhovold>
so you need to install them manually until then

chances of it finding the wlan0 device have dropped to zero on boot with my wwan x13s
<clover[m]>
jhovold any kind of logs you need to investigate this issue?
<clover[m]>
it seems like going to windows and powering off then powering on back into linux fixes it sometimes, but otherwise its random

if wlan0 sometimes doesn't come up on boot, could this be an issue with the firmware not working for my model? I am talking about ath11k_pci 0006:01:00.0: wcn6855 hw2.1
