yuka: j314 is probably the most extensively tested machine at this point so i really cant think of what would be causing your issues
<chadmed_>
could you upload the output of asahi-diagnose somewhere?

chadmed: I'm not on arch/fedora, so that script is not going to run properly I think
<yuka>
I might go back to the setup that already worked a couple of weeks ago, and then bisect it manually, but that sounds like a lot of work
<yuka>
but thanks for all the efforts on debugging this so far
<j`ey>
it should work
<j`ey>
it checks it's arch before running pacman
<yuka>
it wants to look at the device trees right?
<yuka>
i don't know how it would find them on my system
<zerdox>
hi everyone :) i just upgraded my system today, there was bunch of audio updates and new kernel, everything was installed, but for some reason i could not change volume of my left speaker, could anyone please take a look at my strace of "alsactl restore"? what could be the reason? i got all latest audio packages from overlay: alsa-ucm-conf-asahi, asahi-audio, asahi-configs, asahi-meta, scripts, firmware and latest kernel
<zerdox>
maybe i missed some new kernel configuration for audio? strange that i can unlock channels and change volume of my right speaker...
<zerdox>
in the chat history i can see chadmed recommend to set Speaker Playback Mux as Secondary in alsamixer, but that didn't work for me... it was already set as secondary. tried to play with these values (not really sure what they mean) no luck
<zerdox>
i usually control audio through pwctl or pavucontrol. tried playing with alsamixer, and it behaves strange.. idk, there is too much controls and i am not sure what they all do. left and right speaker was on 100%, i pressed arrow down and it dropped to 0%, can't bring it back to 100% :/
