jannau: are you happy for me to squash the "out of band" speaker enablement patches now? i dont think we need to keep them around given that i think even debian has the safe version of lsp plugins
<chadmed>
theyre in tree anyway now so it shouldnt screw with rebases

<jannau>
debian stable has lsp-plugins 1.2.5 from January 2023 which is probably affected, I think however that it's safe to squash those commits. Speakers are not useable without user space integration anyway and it should be safe to assume that everyone doing user space is aware by now
<jannau>
and if they are not they most certainly won't notice the warnings in some commit messages in our kernel tree
<r0ni>
so mental note if I ever boot asahi debian install again, switch to testing ;)
<mandragore>
hello! I want to order a mac mini, and coincidentally I was thinking of how I could contribute to the project. So I was wondering if there is need in testing/contributing on some particular hardware. (not sure if this is a stupid question to ask in this channel, but I don't have much experience contributing to kernel stuff before)

<opticron>
TBF, I rarely encounter problems with debian testing
* nicolas17
still shamefully has systems running oldstable out of laziness to upgrade
<opticron>
I have one running oldoldstable because package changes will break my configs and it's non-critical
