is there a reason behind not allowing to view earlier messages on matrix? i was trying to search info about a register and found the public logs site hard to work with.

<jannau> "if asahi-fwextract is packaged..." <- crazy I did not need lzfse when I created the documentation.

Ok it came with the last patch from @marcan. What is this extractor actually needed?
<j`ey>
for some USB ports on mac studio and imacs
<Cy8aer[m]>
Hm, ok I will leave my documentation to v0.4.1 (the patch before) and then look what can be done with lzfse on a standard distribution (debian does not have it, but it is a python script, probably a simple pip install will do)

@Cy8aer lzfse in not standard in Linux. I had to build it yesterday (cmake) from the link jannau provided yesterday. I am running Debian.

hi. i've been trying to get a custom electron build to work on my m1 mini. i know chromium needs a patch to work, I have that. my build just segfaults with EINVAL
<robertgzr>
in the alarm pkgbuild i see you just disable the custom allocator. is that the current recommended way to deal with this?

<WhyNotHugo_>
leah2: I think so. But it might not be a big deal to rebuild the ALARM kernel with 16k
<WhyNotHugo_>
Tho I guess I can just add the asahi repo and install that kernel.

<tpw_rules>
robertgzr: did chromium build itself with 4k segment alignment anyway? the executable might not be loadable into memory
<robertgzr>
tpw_rules: thanks for the hint, very possible. I cross-compiled this binary on ubuntu, so that might be what caused it
