robclark changed the topic of #aarch64-laptops to: Linux support for AArch64 Laptops (Chrome OS Trogdor Devices - Asus NovaGo TP370QL - HP Envy x2 - Lenovo Mixx 630 - Lenovo Yoga C630 - Lenovo ThinkPad X13s - and various other snapdragon laptops) - https://oftc.irclog.whitequark.org/aarch64-laptops

<quinine> "The updated x13s kernel seems to..." <- try now. fscrypt should work, and if it doesn't you can add the relevant config (if you know it) to the kernel config updater script i wrote today. that way we can layer stuff on top of johan defconfig without bothering steev too much :) https://github.com/ironrobin/x13s-alarm/blob/trunk/linux-x13s/patch_kernel_config.py

<clover[m]> "try now. fscrypt should work..." <- Thanks, I'll try it tonight.
<quinine>
clover: also, could we consider rename initramfs-linux.img to initramfs-linux-x13s.img or something to allow linux-aarch64 to be installed at same time?
<JensGlathe[m]>
in the Ubuntu mainline repo, what you always see is this:
<JensGlathe[m]>
maybe related?
<steev>
sadly, no. i'm sure that the problem child is the alternative stack frames, i'm just not sure if it's qemu that doesn't handle it properly or something

<JensGlathe[m]>
But you can circumvent it with build options?

Has anyone roamed on their x13s?
<Jasper[m]>
dgilmore: As in WWAN in foreign countries (relative to the sim) or 802.11r?
<dgilmore>
Jasper[m]: as in wwan in foreign countries. I've tried in Germany, Spain, and now the UK and while I have roaming, I have not been able to get it to connect. It did seem to work in Australia from memory
<dgilmore>
And now it just connected
<Jasper[m]>
Complaining works :D
<Jasper[m]>
but no, I don't have a SIM in mine so I haven't tried
<Jasper[m]>
Does modem manager allow you to select specific isp's? It might be wise to try changing that if you're running into issues while connecting.
<dgilmore>
I could not get it to work at all in Germany and Spain. I will try in the Czech Replublic when I get there later today
<Jasper[m]>
It is a reason for roaming to not work on mobile phones so it sounds plausible
<dgilmore>
I do not see anything in the gui, may be in the cli
