"it has physiological effects" theyre basically immeasurable at this level. very very few people even feel the effects of an MRI machine's magnetic field, which is anywhere from 0.5T to 3T in routine procedures

in fact modern pacemakers wirelessly transfer data to a base station usually located next to the patient's bed. the magnetic flux that results from that data transfer is going to be far greater than anything the taptic engine could put out lmao

And keep in mind that such studies aren't any likely to get funded or conducted at all since noone performs harmful in vitro.. this holds true for the mmWave spectrum opening up in the foreseable future which is probably even worse yet they're placing 5g antennas to every block many times disguised

Do theses pads have a mechanical or a virtual click (aka a ball shot from one side to another via - a magnetical field, like the iphones have)?

yeah they use the taptic engine or a derivative of it at least

The main problem is that you cannot really test it like with a switched off iphone (then the key is really "dead") because every event to the keyboard/pad will switch the device on and it would click again.

it does retry up to 5 times (or was it 10 now?) if the connection dies or times out

it used to have trouble with that but I improved it soon after release

the downloads are chunked so it will pick up where it left off

if it outright fails entirely you do have to clean up yourself and start over though, it deliberately doesn't keep any cache because it streams the download straight to the target partition

my device developed a screen fault (horizontal stripes) and idk how to back it up before sending it in to repairs. Time Machine requires scrounging around on my disks for something with hundreds of gigabytes to create a partition (hfs/hfs+/apfs, don't even know which) or let macos reformat the whole thing. and asahi only connects usb devices as usb2.

Hello, when I was trying to compile kernel module, I could not find the /lib/modules/<kernel_version>/build directory used by make. Searching on google told me it might be the reason of lacking linux-headers. However, it seems that no linux-headers specific to my kernel version (5.17.0-rc7-asahi-next-20220310-5-2-ARCH) is present via pacman. I used pacman -S linux-headers-`uname -r`. Anybody knows how to solve this problem?
