Hi, I wanted to ask where to find a reference .config for building the asahi kernel. The link to the .config mentioned under "Tethered Boot Setup" is broken. Thanks.
<cmalvi[m]>
<jannau> "build takes 50 minutes on m1..." <- similar to librewolf build time
<cmalvi[m]>
thank you :)

Strange that the flatpak doesn’t work
<jannau>
how is the build time of a different package (probably on a different CPU) fro interest? also I usually don't select software by build time
<jannau>
the flatpak unggogled-chromium has apparently problems with the sandbox, fails for me with "GPU process isn't usable. Goodbye."

jannau: out of curiosity, does the standard Chromium flatpak work?
<refi64>
Hello again, I'm trying to boot into a Fedora ISO I've created with an already-built Fedora kernel (from https://github.com/leifliddy/asahi-fedora-builder) which I think should work, but it fails to mount the USB's rootfs on boot. From what I can tell, Linux land doesn't pick up my USB stick *at all*. It's a USB-C stick being plugged into the USB-C
<refi64>
also I haven't gotten the firmware there yet, but I wanted to see if I could get something booted *first* without worrying about stuff like wifi, is the firmware needed for other stuff too?
<Glanzmann>
refi64: Choose one of the two Fedora installs, I only tested mine. And than upgrade.

<refi64>
Glanzmann: ah interesting, I was using the kernel from the second Fedora link since the first's wiki page mentioned F35 so I wasn't sure how updated it was
<refi64>
(I'm also trying to figure out how the pieces fit together to later make a silverblue build, and the latter used an rpm repo I could easily find & try to use)
<refi64>
It does seem like the kernel I booted uses the same USB_DWC3 settings as the main Asahi kernel config

refi64: didn't work either, different error, but also looked sandbox related. This is with my devel kernel build so there could a issue with the config

jannau: interesting, I'm looking to be using the Chromium Flatpak as well if/when I get this stinking Fedora USB booted, so I'll try to look into why it's not working pretty soon and fix it (must be a packaging issue anyway if building locally works?)

<jannau> "refi64: didn't work either..." <- With 4K kernel the flatpak works, I’ll retry in next days with the 16k
<refi64>
cmalvi[m]: hmm interesting, Chromium 102 should have been published 4 days ago now
<cmalvi[m]>
<refi64> "cmalvi: hmm interesting, Chromiu..." <- Also ungoogled-chromium says 102 but still, maybe there are problem with flatpak for 16k, because on 4K works fine
<jannau>
refi64: the flatpaks are 102.0.5005.61. built from the AUR PKGBUILD the same version works. With the flatpaks I get https://paste.debian.net/1242408/
<jannau>
16k kernel

Maybe is a problem with flatpak? I don’t know
