<chadmed> tpw_rules: yeah they are, the eq profile i did is significantly less boomy
<chadmed> when im on holidays next week im going to do some more tweaking to the model because im not entirely happy with what i currently do, particularly with the harshness of the tweeters
<chadmed> but its still more bearable than the crappy muddy noise that apple do

<aep> heya. do we have working KVM (kernel vm) yet?
<_jannau_> aep: yes, since a while. The original M1 required options/user space changes due to HW limitations but qemu 7.0 should work. m1 pro/max/ultra works without those changes
<aep> lovely
<aep> the mini is m1 OG i think init?
<aep> yeah
<_jannau_> yes

<maz> aep: you need a small patch to KVM to avoid a HW bug if running on anything but the original M1 (the patch enables the same workaround for max/pro).
<maz> (patch will be in 5.19).

<Glanzmann> VinDuv, marcan, jannau: So with the m1n1 rebase, do I still need this patch? Because it does not seem to have been merged? https://tg.st/u/0001-display-Add-wait-option-to-handle-monitor-disconnect.patch
<jannau> yes, #183 is not merged, it probably doesn't apply anymore
<Glanzmann> I see. I know that at least one of my users had issues with it.
<Glanzmann> So I'll try to rebase it, until it is merged.
ptudor has joined #asahi
<Glanzmann> I drop the patch for now, since src/display.c is gone. However now I have another problem m1n1 does no longer compile:
<j`ey> weird, it just built the RAW bin for me
<jannau> src/display.c still exist
<j`ey> this is your sha1 though Glanzmann? 'HEAD is now at da660ff ld: upload m1n1 and dtb artifacts'
ptudor_ has quit [Ping timeout: 480 seconds]
<Glanzmann> j`ey: Yes, it is.
<Glanzmann> I think it builds, but it no loner builds m1n1.bin by default.
<jannau> #define name clash in u-boot
<j`ey> Glanzmann: on origin/main it builds by default
<j`ey> (I just rebuilt)
<Glanzmann> j`ey: You're right, I probably have the total wrong branch.
<Glanzmann> Okay, I have the right branch, but the wrong m1n1 repo ...
<Glanzmann> Now it builds, sorry for the noise.
