Random question, is there a recommended course or book for getting into kernel/driver development?

altacus: please note that I made a couple of inaccuracies in those messages, notably Linux executes wfi only for the shallow idle, for deep cpu idle Linux makes a PSCI call into the firmware, after which all the implementation defined stuff happens (usually involving the same wfi as an implementation detail)
<travmurav[m]>
fwiw what I was trying to say is that all the facilities in Linux for sleep are already implemented and used, but the conditions in which firmware allows deep sleep may not be met (i.e. some hardware is not disabled properly)

There's a saying, Japanese people make things!
<Bioxvirizm-x13s[m]>
Since the standard of living here is not high, old Japanese people are valued. They just drive.)
