<_[m]1> still having reboot loop after putting my FDE pw ☚ī¸
<Jasper[m]> No problems on Ubuntu, except that it's Ubuntu :/
<_[m]1> yeah booted ubuntu now again
<_[m]1> did you do a fresh install?
<_[m]1> i install firefox nightly because the snap stuff is fckd
<_[m]1> also seems my physical mouse button is not always registering click
<_[m]1> s/click/clicks/
<_[m]1> and external screen is fuzzy and misaligned mm
<Jasper[m]> _[m]1: Yep
<_[m]1> it's mantic right?
<_[m]1> can you send me your repolist(s) in pm?
<Jasper[m]> _[m]1: Yes, just off their mirrors
<Jasper[m]> _[m]1: I don't have it bootes rn
<Jasper[m]> *booted
<_[m]1> ok
<_[m]1> anyone using external screen on x13s?
<_[m]1> >BOOT_IMAGE=/vmlinuz-6.5.0-1004-laptop root=/dev/mapper/ubuntu--vg-ubuntu--lv ro quiet splash clk_ignore_unused pd_ignore_unused vt.handoff=7
<_[m]1> still codec issues to or whatever
<_[m]1> hm reproduced the reboot loop now on ubuntu by adding kernel parameters from jhovolds wiki page
<Jasper[m]> _[m]1: Interesting
<_[m]1> which one though
<_[m]1> hanging on lenovo splash screen
<_[m]1> only once though mm
<_[m]1> external screen misalignment remains and jitter, mm

<craftyguy> was a patch adding the vid accel fw for the x13s submitted to linux-firmware? I saw several references to it, mentioning that it's "in a WIP branch"
<_[m]1> I checked linux-firmware version and it was the one mentioned in the wiki
<craftyguy> yesterday I used an external display with my x13s, on 6.6-rc7. anyways, my question about fw isn't related to your issue, I was just curious if it'll show up in a linux-firmware release
<_[m]1> did you connect through dock or direct tb?
<craftyguy> usb-c dock, with dp alt mode
<craftyguy> I don't think this does thunderbolt?
<_[m]1> ah yeah dp alt 🙂
<_[m]1> not usb4 either mm
<_[m]1> * either mm but 3.2
<HdkR> 10gbit is pretty nice at least if you have devices that don't oops the kernel when using it
<_[m]1> I hadn't payed attention even since I assumed usb4, but adoption seems low still mm for this money though?
<HdkR> _[m]1: sc8380xp has been confirmed to support three USB4 ports
<HdkR> and then two additional USB 3.2 ports? I guess those are only 10gbit?
<HdkR> Quite a big IO improvement
<HdkR> Marketing claims "USB 3.2 Gen 2" so that should be 10 gbit. That's a pretty good combination of ports
