<altacus_> steev: Thanks for the info regarding webcam development. I'm going to guess that it may be a while before it's in a ready state.
<steev> I’m gonna say… maybe
<steev> Sometimes it takes forever, sometimes upstreams are like that’s really cool let’s get that in
<altacus_> steev: that's ok. I can be patient... I think, lol
<altacus_> steev: What's the state of s3 idle and hibernate development? Is that a priority?

<altacus_> It seems like hardware acceleration works on the x13s, but is development completed? i.e. can we expect improvements in the future?
<altacus_> Thanks in advance for answering these questions
<steev> i'd hope we'll still get improvements

<matalama> Can I copy dsi-controller code from sm8350.dtsi and add it to sc8280xp.dtsi to make sc8280xp's dsi work?

<matalama> I'm working on Huawei Matebook E Go which has a DSI panel. I've got a panel driver through lmdpdg because galaxy tab s7 fe used the same panel.

<Matthew[m]> Hi, did any has problem with firmware (bios) update to the latest version 1.58? It seems my x13s bricked. I can enter to bios setup but can not boot anymore. If I choose F12, the thinkpad only reboot.

<push> No 1.58 in windows update or the lenovo app, so they either pulled it or idk where you got that
<push> try rolling it back?
<push> thats a dookie situation for a $1000 laptop
<push> oh nevermind, it has older versions at the bottom of the page
<Matthew[m]> push: how?

<exeat> If you can enter the BIOS, maybe the advice to reset to defaults could help?
<exeat> Other common recommendations: disconnect battery (physically or through the bios), poke into the emergency-reset hole; both described in the hardware maintenance manual.
<Matthew[m]> <exeat> "If you can enter the BIOS, maybe..." <- I did reset to defaults as written. No difference. I only lost the line to boot to Arch and Windows. Only NVME disk remain. I can not boot even external USB with arch for recovery
<Matthew[m]> exeat: Tried without success.

<travmurav[m]> hexdump0815: was there any reason why you didn't submit initial gb go dts upstream? IMO it's fine to get it in even if it's not complete
<travmurav[m]> hexdump0815: the ufs patches are on the list now, might be nice to have a T-b with 7c and prepare a partial dts on top :)

<exeat> You said that it still attempts to boot from the nvme drive, so I wonder if you could copy the updater and firmware to the ESP and do a (re-)flash
<exeat> Or it may be time to talk to Lenovo :/

<Matthew[m]> <exeat> "You said that it still attempts..." <- NVME or USB external drive is seen in BIOS if I press F12. But if I choose to but from it the x13s just reboot. Yeah, I will probably need to contact Lenovo.
<altacus_> Matthew: have you tried resetting bios settings? I noticed that there's a new linux boot option. For me I have to set this to off in order to boot.
<Matthew[m]> <altacus_> "Matthew: have you tried resettin..." <- reset bios settings=BIOS default setup (ie. In the BIOS, press the F9 key then press the F10 key to save it)... Linux boot went to off when I reset bios settings. Behavior is the same . Is somehow "damaged" boot loader. I run out of ideas.
<Matthew[m]> Matthew[m]: I tried also reset system to factory defaults. Nada.
<cenunix[m]> Is gpu and sound for the x13s working in any of the recent kernel releases by torvalds? Just curious what features would be lost by using it instead of steevs
<steev> gpu should work, sound still needs a couple patches but might work without
<steev> speaking of which, just pushed 6.5.6 (which is the 6.5 stuff on top of 6.5.6, no new out of tree stuff)
<cenunix[m]> Ty for the info and all your work steev
<altacus_> steev: which version should I use? 6.5.y or 6.6.rc4?
<steev> up to you
<altacus_> Does 6.5.y include patches from 6.6.rc4?
<steev> only as they pertain to the x13s
<altacus_> ok, well out of laziness, I'll leave my x13s on 6.6.4 :)
<steev> it's not 6.6.4, it' s 6.6.0-rc4
<altacus_> you're right, sorry for the typo.
<steev> just wanna stave off the questions from people who show up asking where they can find the 6.6.4 kernel ;)
<HdkR> Where can I find 6.7.0? :P
<steev> in -next
<HdkR> Spicy
<Dylanger> Does anyone have any experience porting ChromiumOS's UCM configs to standard alsa2? I managed to get the ADSP/Audio remoteproc up with it's firmware, but can't use the speakers
<Dylanger> These are the 2 UCM configs I think I need
<Dylanger> I've tried dropping them into /usr/share/alsa/ucm2/conf.d but it doesn't seem to pick it up
<Dylanger> I'm not totally sure what sof is, but I think it's some form of DTS codec thing
<Dylanger> I've configured all the sof firmware correctly, it seems to be moaning about a missing UCM config
