<chenxuecong[m]>
Hello everyone
<chenxuecong[m]>
I rotated the screen orientation on Ubuntu, but the touch orientation is wrong, how can I calibrate the touch orientation?
patrickm has joined #aarch64-laptops
<steev>
set the touch matrix via xinput is the most likely answer
<steev>
something like `xinput set-props 'FT...' --type=float "Coordinate Transformation Matrix" 0 1 0 -1 0 1 0 0 1` where the prop is whatever device the touchscree is, and the matrix is, well correct (this here is based on rotating the steamdeck display

Jens Glathe: trying it now. when installing I noticed the following warning: find: ‘/lib/firmware/updates/qcom/x1e80100’: No such file or directory
<JensGlathe[m]>
this is a thing from linux-firmware.
<albsen[m]>
ok, 6.14-rc1 is working
<albsen[m]>
thx
<JensGlathe[m]>
delete the dir /lib/firmware/updates/qcom entirely, that's apparently the workaround
<landwork>
it seems the front/rear and tweeter/woofer configuration is a bit messed up.
<landwork>
it also phases when the volume is up, with that distortion (I haven't really driven it hard as I get why it will ruin the speakers physically).
<landwork>
one quick questions, is sound work on other x1e laptops?
<landwork>
question I mean.
<SpieringsAE>
there is some stuff for the t14s I believe
<SpieringsAE>
which may or may not be somewhat reusable for the asus vivobook, but I am not touching sound on my asus
<JensGlathe[m]>
Oh F yeah HP is re-enabling secure boot without asking
<JensGlathe[m]>
I‘d have some more choice words for them
<SpieringsAE>
I was surprised it didn't do that on my asus when I got a firmware update
* travmurav[m]
somehow wonders if that uefi also has the funny osk with a subset of needed buttons to navigate the menus as they have on touch enabled x86 things
<travmurav[m]>
inb4 that tui style menu is touch enabled
<SpieringsAE>
damn halloy does embeds now
<SpieringsAE>
I can see pictures from links in my irc client neat
<JensGlathe[m]>

okay, so I just reused the dp3_phy supply bindings for the dp2_phy, but jeah that may not be correct
<SpieringsAE>
Is there some way I could figure out these regulators from the acpi tables?
<SpieringsAE>
I can't seem to find the memory address of the phy in the dsdt so I fear that may be hidden in the pep driver thingy
landwork has joined #aarch64-laptops
<SpieringsAE>
I feel like they are correct given that they are used by the other usb phys aswell
<TheBITLINK[m]>
icecream95: if it's an asus there should be an option to disable auto hibernate in myasus, it used to not be an issue (mine auto hibernated ayer a day or so) but since the latest firmware update something's messed up with that feature

What's the status of USB-C on the X13s? Need to buy a dock. Anything I should know so I don't get one that will currently not work correctly?

I bought this usb nvme adapter, and for some reason I cannot use it with the usb-c connector
<SpieringsAE>
I just tested it with a usb-c to usb a 2.0 adapter and then it worked
<SpieringsAE>
but on my x86 systems it does just work with usb c
chrisl has joined #aarch64-laptops
<SpieringsAE>
same for my pinebook pro
<SpieringsAE>
I mean it doesn't work with my arm64 systems*
<JensGlathe[m]>
is it a JMicron chipset?
<SpieringsAE>
nope realtek from what I can see
<JensGlathe[m]>
I try to avoid these, you need to add a boot quirk for those, and even then its not nice
<SpieringsAE>
huh interesting, I just want to clonezilla my disk aaaaa

rtl9210 should just work™️

ok here's a fun one, slim 7x gets super angry when i plug an iphone 15 in with a c-to-c cable. looks like some weird codepaths due to the iphones whacky PD stuff? https://p.calebs.dev/c926e5@raw
<calebccff>
like why does my iphone show up as a displayport capable peripheral?!
