hi! I'm sorry if this has been asked before, but does the Asahi project make it easier to run Linux on T2 Intel-based Macs? Or is this orthogonal to getting the Apple sillicon to work? I have a 16" MBP from 2019.
vmeson has joined #asahi
<ChaosPrincess>
they are mostly independent, but some of the work done in asahi fixed wifi/bt on some t2 macs
<sven>
it's not our goal but it sometimes happens if there's some overlap (we e.g. made both wifi and bluetooth work on some of the T2 macs)
<ChaosPrincess>
if you are interested in running on a t2 macs, https://t2linux.org/ is a better resource

another question: what is a good way to learn avout the reverse engineering required to work on a project like this? I've been programming games since I was a kid and more recently microcontrollers, but when I jump into an Asahi stream I find it difficult to follow along. Are there any good resources to get started quickly or is watching the

streams from the beginning the way to go?
