Hi is there actually a easy way to just remove all installed packages to have a fresh Haiku install without packages installed from pkgman? Or Haikudepot?
tqh has joined #haiku
<x512[m]>
andreasdr It is possible to uninstall all packages (packages will be still active until reboot) and then reinstall basic packages.
<andreasdr>
Ah nice. Do I do this with Haikudepot or with pkgman (uninstalling all packages)?

`pkgman uninstall haiku` is probably enough to uninstall everything.

(AGMS) andreasdr, if you do an install without reformatting the disk, installing over an existing Haiku, then it will replace all the packages in System with the ones from the install. Packages installed in the user's home directory remain, though there usually are none unless you use the command line to specifically install stuff in --home.
<andreasdr>
Nice and good to know :))
