If activating Use fail-safe graphics driver solves your troubles by falling back to VESA graphics, you can make the setting permanent by removing the # of the line #fail_safe_video_mode true in the text file /boot/home/config/settings/kernel/drivers/kernel.

<rennj>
Scratch 3.0 is a completely new JavaScript-based codebase made up of multiple components such as "Scratch-GUI," now based on a library from Blockly,

there really is problem with browsers, currently in otter and browser hang for 30 sec-1m on some page to eventually resume normally. It feel like the system run out of hardcoded ressource and when some actually free for watever reason the browser can resume.
<AlienSoldier>
that existed for months now, used to not do that in the past.
<AlienSoldier>
draggin a tab out of otter to make use a secondary window seem to make it better, will have to retry that.
Spaceboy1010 has left #haiku [#haiku]
<AlienSoldier>
perhaps more ressource become available when 2 windows are there.
<AlienSoldier>
well not really, i can still get in waiting loop where the browser don't even update the window content anymore

i don't think we can compare 64 and 32 bit now as same state machine with just different speed, especially when there is a tiem dependant server outside the computer

<AlienSoldier>
the race condition are not the same either
<AlienSoldier>
I think a verbose window would be usefull for browser. A bit like some video player have to report all kind of issue with their audiovideo stream.

Often there is weird behavior or website error mesage that don't tell me why loading a page failed

qutebrowser has builtin adblock, but is blocking possible with web+ somehow?
<AlienSoldier>
not that i know
<AlienSoldier>
perhaps the utimate stopgap for me would be to go full experiment Lain computer and use a dual computer setup with RDesktop like he does here for running chrome in haiku https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F1wzjDTHwqE

I've not tried the hosts file method (that exists pre browser adblock) on Haiku

nice about the state of maine, no billboards when you drive
<Cian>
banned?
<Cian>
they're uncommon here cause they need planning permission which generally hasn't been given since about 1985; during which time the bulk of the road network was rebuilt. Plenty of derelict billboard sites on the old roads
<rennj>
Four states prohibit all billboards: Maine, Vermont, Alaska and Hawaii. Larger cities with prohibitions on new billboards include Houston, Los Angeles, St. Paul and Kansas City. Scenic America estimates thousands of communities around the country prohibit construction of new billboards.
<Cian>
like, if I had land beside a road I could apply for planning for a billboard. But I won't get it
