<repetitivestrain>
augiedoggie: for the symbol problems, just run "make bootstrap" (there have been changes to the lisp compiler recently, so that will be required)
<repetitivestrain>
as for C-;, i actually don't know if it ever worked
<repetitivestrain>
because I don't get a B_KEY_DOWN message
<repetitivestrain>
any ideas?
<repetitivestrain>
thanks
<augiedoggie>
either app_server or an input_server filter might be catching it
<repetitivestrain>
hmm, either way, it seems more of a system-related thing
<repetitivestrain>
since it seems that C-; doesn't do anything right now
<augiedoggie>
as for the symbol problem. i always do clean builds when working on the recipes, i figured it would resolve itself in a day or two
<repetitivestrain>
hmm, could you show the precise error?
<repetitivestrain>
thanks
<augiedoggie>
i'm not sure if i have that package around anymore
<repetitivestrain>
ah okay
<repetitivestrain>
thanks

hm, i see C-; being pressed when i run the Keymap preferences app
<repetitivestrain>
interesting, maybe it handles keyboard input in some special way
<repetitivestrain>
i'll take a look
<augiedoggie>
repetitivestrain: i found the old package but it's not giving me the lisp error anymore. the scrollbars look nice :D
<augiedoggie>
s/old/new/
<repetitivestrain>
nice, thanks for testing
<repetitivestrain>
also phew

I don't get any messages when I press C-; or anything
<waddlesplash>
Cmd is Ctrl if you enabled Windows/Linux shortcuts mode.
<repetitivestrain>
that's off here
<waddlesplash>
but it may be filtered out anyway? idk
<repetitivestrain>
yeah it seems that's the case
<repetitivestrain>
i wouldn't be surprised, C-; is not that common, we have lots of cases of that being filtered out on other platforms as well
<repetitivestrain>
(GTK, X11, macOS, MS Windows)
<waddlesplash>
you should be able to get it by hooking the right BWindow function as I mentioned
<waddlesplash>
take a look at how Xlibe does it

<repetitivestrain>
ah i already use DispatchMessage to handle the B_KEY_DOWN message
<repetitivestrain>
but I just don't get anything when I press Ctrl+;
<repetitivestrain>
but oddly enough it shows up if I also hold down shift (which makes it Ctrl-:)
<augiedoggie>
heh, i did glance at the input_server filters in the repo to see if they were catching it, but it didn't appear so
<andreasdr[m]>
Hmm just tried BePDF with a PDF. Works nice. Dont see a issue here.
<andreasdr[m]>
But maybe I cant really compare as radeon_hd is not working yet.
<andreasdr[m]>
I use a AMD VEGA56 now. Also extracting the resolution from BIOS does not work :(((
<andreasdr[m]>
Btw. Didnt knew that the VEGA56 is so much faster and more efficient than the RX480.
<andreasdr[m]>
About 30% faster without getting the cooler working like crazy.
<andreasdr[m]>
BTW: FreeBSD had a post recently about how to get into USB programming. If someone wants it, also does partially apply for Haiku I guess.
<andreasdr[m]>
Very nicely done

nephele: could it be that the PATCH_FUNCTION tag is still there (if your recipe uses that)? I also had that problem once that patchset changes were always reverted again. Tags don't get removed when rebasing, so when modifying the patchset, it could be that you have to manually remove that tag. Otherwise the rebase that haikuporter does, reverts to the old state.
<nephele>
I don't mean the patchset got reverted, i mean that it destroyed my workdir
<pch>
does anyone remember the name of that nvidia hwaccel driver someone was working on that apparently has seen progress at some point in the last year
<nephele>
for haiku?
<nephele>
I only know we have drivers for ancient agp cards
