That particular wifi card isn't something I normally use on my desktop, so not an inconvenience to me. But for others who have that card in a laptop...

Vidrep_64: the hardware the driver does work on, it is a huge improvement

throughput now up to hundreds of megabits

so, it would be good not to revert. people with broken HW can just use the old driver or avoid updating for the moment
