waddlesplash: Not sure if this is related but I've noticed that on a Zen+ desktop, Haiku doesn't successfully boot using the boot menu but does when using the boot override.

waddlesplash: When trying to boot Haiku by selecting it from the F12 boot menu, it gets stuck at the boot screen (no icons).
<win8linux[m]>
But when trying to boot Haiku from the boot override menu in the UEFI settings, it works fine.
<win8linux[m]>
This is with the failsafe video driver.
<waddlesplash>
it's probably trying to boot via BIOS
<waddlesplash>
whereas via UEFI settings of course it boots via EFI
<waddlesplash>
indeed BIOS booting doesn't work under Zen
<waddlesplash>
there's a ticket about that already
<nephele>
I will once i find it... now have to sleep a bit :/

sqlite isnt good enough for you!
<rennj>
Small. Fast. Reliable. Choose any three.
<rennj>
the most used database engine in the world,,,bold statements
<bbjimmy>
ahh at least sqlite3 runs without complaining about not being able to connect to a server.
<bbjimmy>

bbjimmy: the server's probably in a separate package
<waddlesplash>
but yes, unless you need the features or the huge dataset support, sqlite is perfectly acceptable
<waddlesplash>
and in fact sqlite's version of SQL is patterned off of postgres so migrating from one to the other is usually not bad if you wind up needing to do that

Any chance to have some network database engine ported to Haiku? Needed to web applications development and local testing.
