<Begasus> ~> sha
<Begasus> sha1sum sha224sum sha256sum sha384sum sha512sum shar shasum
<Begasus> ah, on mac
<wyatt_> yeah.
<Begasus> no idea there :)
<wyatt_> brew has a sha3sum that generates an incorrect sum btw. might want to mention that too

<PulkoMandy> we should do a postinstall script that autoinstalls it in deskbar if the system has a battery, maybe?
<x512[m]> PulkoMandy: Will not work because system may run from USB drive and be moved between multiple computers. Some autorun solution will be needed (battery monitor service?).
<PulkoMandy> it will work good enough for most users, and the remaining ones can manually install it
<PulkoMandy> it doesn't prevent doing something else to have battery notifications even if PowerStatus isn't in deskbar. Shouldn't they be in power_daemon for example?
<x512[m]> Yes, probably power_daemon should be responsible for low battery notifications.

<PulkoMandy> just in case, it's available as a standalone icon o matic file: https://cgit.haiku-os.org/haiku/tree/data/artwork/icons/Trash_Empty
<PulkoMandy> I think that command line seems correct
<jmairboeck> thanks PulkoMandy. I wanted to check how it looks like with my WPF renderer.

<schkwve> has anyone tried to build haiku on m1 mac yet?
<jmairboeck> PulkoMandy: the xres works now, as in, it outputs some file and completes successfully, but the result is not just the hvif data but something bigger (about 2.3 KiB).
<PulkoMandy> schkwve, yes, there are pending patches on Gerrit and it would be nice to get things cleaned up properly
<jmairboeck> I instead converted the artwork file to hvif using Icon-O-Matic (which has only 522 bytes)
<PulkoMandy> schkwve, actually a version of it was merged: https://review.haiku-os.org/c/buildtools/+/6191 so it should work
<PulkoMandy> jmairboeck, xres will probably create an rdef file and not a binary hvif file?
<schkwve> PulkoMandy: oh great, can't wait to join in and contribute to haiku
<PulkoMandy> schkwve, you can build it, but for now you can't run it natively on M1
<schkwve> PulkoMandy: That I am aware of, but luckily UTM exists so I can easily deploy an x86_64 qemu instance
<jmairboeck> PulkoMandy: it still is a binary file, is that an rsrc file then?
<augiedoggie> does `listres` say anything about the file?
<PulkoMandy> I don't think xres will do rsrc files. Would have to look into it with an hex editor to investigate what's in it then
<jmairboeck> augiedoggie: yes, it lists the 1 extracted resource and 348 bytes total
<jmairboeck> which is weird, I would have expected the same 522 bytes
