For a brief moment I had the hope that the mesa update would bring support for x1p-42 graphics chipset.What's with this software center anyways?? Quit to update is trolling me...

dgilmore: good to hear you found the issue, can you confirm the device id? Is it 1eac:1007?

Now to decide if I take the x13s or t14s to London with me today. Main issue is that if I let the t14s standby it resets the system
<dgilmore>
jhovold: I'll send a tested by in your patch
<smoorgborg[m]>
dgilmore: Take the T14s so the rest of us can profit from all your fixes 😂❤️

dgilmore: thanks for confirming
<jhovold>
your t14s resetting on suspend sounds like a deal breaker, as do the ath12k null-derefs you were hitting
<jhovold>
perhaps related
<jhovold>
I'd take the x13s
<jhovold>
suspend works ok here on the t14s, haven't tried to provoke the ath12k ap-switching null deref
<smoorgborg[m]>
i also have no suspend problems with mine, and haven't experienced wifi trouble (but haven't looked for it either)

robclark: hmm, I had the same gpu lockup without the ACD patch
<anthony25>
maybe it's due to another patch series I apply, like I have an old version of the iris hw decoding
<anthony25>
I'll see with 6.15-rc
<robclark>
maybe you can narrow down what app(s) trigger it and I can try to reproduce

I think I'm going fedora. since the fedora 41 live cd is not available and the fedora 42 beta image doesn't boot, i'm bootstrapping fedora41 manually from an ubuntu live medium. I'm thinking on creating the filesystems myself and use dnf from there to bootstrap the fedora install by hand
<Grabunhold>
is there anything i'm missing or should i go ahead with this plan?
