<kallisti> Hey, I installed Asahi a few weeks ago. I used the vanilla installer. I had the impression it was installing Fedora, but it installed Arch instead. I'd like to switch to arch. Can I just use the Fedora installer to overwrite, or do I have to manually remove the existing installation first?
<kallisti> *I'd like to switch to Fedora*
crabbedhaloablut has joined #asahi
<kallisti> Looks like the installer is exiting without displaying: https://github.com/AsahiLinux/docs/wiki/Partitioning-cheatsheet#listing-partitions-with-the-asahi-linux-installer via the installer due to my firmware version. Is there any way to skip the firmware check so I can remove asahi?
<kallisti> *skip the firmware check and show the disk information to remove the partitions"

<ydalton> asahi linux really hit the lottery with all these core linux bugs
<holiday> ydalton: wdym
<holiday> what happened
<ydalton> it's the same bug i reported to gnome upstream
<ydalton> turns out, it's not a mesa bug, it's a glibc bug
<ydalton> glibc bugs are always the scariest
<holiday> cant we wait for gnome to fix it? :)
<ydalton> it's not a gnome bug, it's a glibc bug

<ayke> ydalton: apparently the proper way to change kernel boot parameters is using the 'grubby' tool: https://www.reddit.com/r/AsahiLinux/comments/17sssyu/comment/k8x55vb/
<ayke> (apparently grubby is a Fedora specific thing?)
<ydalton> well, i am not completely used to fedora and i just used `grub-mkconfig` or `update-grub`, but fedora has neither of those so 🤷🏻‍♂️
<leio> ydalton: I linked things up over there a bit then on the mutter one

<ydalton> so i see dcpext and dispext nodes were added to the t8103 and t8112 DTs, is that the first step towards dp alt mode support on macbooks and other devices?
