pitust: it's still alsa device, so first obvious thing would be to check "aplay -l", if they're not there then you need to be checking your kernel and DT.

If they're there you need to see how come pipewire isn't detecting them.

pitust: looks correct. The second ALSA device is used as a way to get realtime I/V data from kernel to speakersafetyd.

Hello all, I am also having audio problems on an M1 Mini running a Debian 6.6 kernel, specifically with speakersafetyd. See https://paste.debian.net/1302189/ I know it is Debian, but...

Also on speakersafetyd startup, the daemon looks for its config file here -> /usr/local/share/speakersafetyd/apple/j274.conf. On Debian, directory does not exist, I had to create what it wanted... Perhaps this is specific to Fedora? As to the the lsp-plugins, I installed the package two days ago.

I have installed lsp-plugins-lv2/unstable - 1.2.14-1 as advised. Unfortunately I am still experiencing the same error(s) as in https://paste.debian.net/1302189/. Perhaps this is a Debian-specific thing. Thanks for the assistance anyway.

u154ss: the debian alt spin is unfortunately not very well maintained and we cannot offer support for it if our software has not been packaged correctly

all of the options for config file locations etc in speakersafetyd are settable at runtime and package build time. if the debian maintainers are not doing this correctly then that's on them

also yes debian will absolutely not have a new enough version of lsp-plugins for you. again this should have been packaged by the -alt maintainers
