<rennj>
Heat maps are a three dimensional visualization, using x and y coordinates for two dimensions, and color intensity for the third.
<rennj>
Their typical use is for large two dimensional datasets.

it's all in out git repo since 2003. So you can just checkout any revision from there (migrated from SVN)
<PulkoMandy>
otherwise, all the release CD/DVD images contain a copy of the sourcecode as well I think? But not sure if that was the case for alpha1
<Cian>
I'm around log enough to remember the CVS repo pre-SVN; actually tried to see if sourceforge's copy of that still worked but it doesn't appear to!

<Vidrep_64>
Hi
<Vidrep_64>
Just playing around with the new and improved FFmpegGUI that humdinger and BlueSky71 have been working on for the past couple of months. Nice job!
<Vidrep_64>
Finally, I have another reason not to boot Windows to do a job
Vidrep_64 has quit [Quit: Vision[]: i've been blurred!]
<andreasdr>
Let me check that.
<andreasdr>
Ok. Q2 comes as executable from GOG.
<andreasdr>
Damn
<andreasdr>
Let me check if its 64 bit and can be run with wine_bin
<andreasdr>
Hm. Wine gives me a empty "Wine" window and a empty "Wine Mono Installer" window. Seems like I need to extract the files on Windows.
<andreasdr>
ffmpeggui looks nice.
<andreasdr>
BoxedWine gives me "No OpenGL renderer available"
<andreasdr>
Arrrr.
<andreasdr>
Oh all apps using GL report that, must be the transition from x512 to have GL/VK renderer plugin infrastructure?
<andreasdr>
Very cool. Will try next sunday to finish my eclipse port. Arrrrr.

did the code for netpenguin ever turn up anywhere?
<Cian>
just noticed that the version I have here can't show file sizes over 2.14GB in the transfer pane - the total will overflow to int32min and the downloaded up til now bit will work til it hits int32max bytes and then overflow
<Cian>
but who was ever FTPing around an 11GB file in 1999
AGMS has joined #haiku
<AGMS>
Cian, isn't there an FTPPositive which is almost as good?
<AGMS>
Don't know if it shows 64 bit file sizes.
<Cian>
AGMS I'm actually on R5 here
<Cian>
the progress bar colour change in netpenguin accurately reflects what it's doing even when the file sizes are pegged
<AGMS>
There's an FTPPositive for BeOS, available in BeShare.
<AGMS>
Or compile a later version.
<Cian>
hrm, thought it was a newer app
jmairboeck has quit [Quit: Konversation terminated!]
<Cian>
the build there is for BONE anyway
<AGMS>
Ah, wonder if HaikuPorter has a newer version of the code.
<AGMS>
And how much work it would be to compile for R5.
<Cian>
code is very much for BONE too
<AGMS>
Pity, that would be a pain to convert to R5 network library code.
<AGMS>
How about NCFTP or Tiny TFTP?
<Cian>
what reasons I have for running R5 don't extend to running BONE at this stage; can use Haiku for that
<Cian>
well, netpenguin *is* working, its just a silly display bug
<AGMS>
Hmmm, maybe it is just a printf() string format with %d instead of %ld or %lld or whatever GCC2 uses. Then you could hack the binary to change the string
<Cian>
x512[m] its unable to show file sizes above 2.1GB in the transfer window; but this is a closed source app so no way to fix it
<Cian>
unless its hackable that way
<x512[m]>
So not a Haiku bug?
<Cian>
no, a bug in the programme. Which is still used on Haiku which is why I was wondering if someone had found the code. Doesn't look like it

and that disconnect is what that bug wouldn't be worth fixing - net_server crashed under the load of that much data

Hmmm, may have to do some searching to find Zeid, that site no longer exists.
