<TuxGen>
I'm not sure if I already told you guys, but HaikuOS runs natively on Tuxedo Aura Gen1 device. Just have to place the EFI file into EFI folder, go into boot menu and "Boot From File" :^)
<TuxGen>
Wireless with the Intel AX200 also worked OOTB
<waddlesplash>

<Begasus>
Hi LinuxUser , long time no see
<LinuxUser>

<LinuxUser>
I'm still trying to solve problem with nginx
<Begasus>
what was it again?
Begas_VM has joined #haiku
<LinuxUser>
I deployed laravel app on my nginx server(nginx is in docker container) i set up temporany "domain" in etc/hosts for test. Made a config according to tutorial. And after i made an url route /about in web.php that renders view about.blade.php. but when i try to access /about is downloads this file instead of view
<Begas_VM>
never checked further then accessing it over the network with a default install, that seemed to work fine here
<LinuxUser>
The main goal is i think my nginx doesnt recognize laravel's routes correctly
<LinuxUser>
Maybe switch to apache soon

<Habbie>
mrjones, install refind, skip grub :)
<mrjones>
bit of an issue when dual booting with gentoo. And for some odd reason I happen to have a 2 MB bios_grub partition which is not needed afaict.
<mrjones>
I need stronger coffee for this
<Habbie>
you can always pick grub in refind
<Habbie>
my boot flow is bios -> refind -> haiku
<Habbie>
and bios -> refind -> grub -> debian
<Habbie>
although refind also finds the debian kernel and can in fact boot it directly
<mrjones>
yeah, it is in portage. I'll try that - but I still need stronger coffee
<Habbie>
you can also just download it and copy it to the efi partition - but indeed, i let apt install it for me
<zdykstra>
mornin' Habbie, Begasus
<Habbie>
morning!
<zdykstra>
or I guess mid-afternoon for you Habbie
<Habbie>
just about 4pm :)
<mrjones>
Exactly 16:00 here
<Habbie>
i can sense mrjones is close by!
<zdykstra>
I forget that most of Europe is on one time zone. I have Zagreb time in my task bar, and for some reason I thought it was an hour ahead of western EU
<mrjones>
Spain is CET too, right? I bit weird with that. I can see Denmark and Germany having same timezone but Denmark and Spain?
<Habbie>
zdykstra, well, it really should be
<Habbie>
mrjones, yes, but not portugal
<mrjones>
right
<Habbie>
note that it's summer so we're all CEST
<mrjones>
go north from France to UK and you go back in time :P

[haiku/haiku] 47b66bb67663 - loopback_frame: when the interface address isn't set, use the destination
<waddlesplash>
mrjones: what was the fix?
<mrjones>
Either using intel partition instead of guid - or manually setting the partition to active.... or maybe both
<mrjones>
uhh.. 62 packages to update
<mrjones>
where are my glasses
<andreasdr[m]>
hands over your glasses. Here Sir.
<mrjones>
thx... and I have my coffee... And I can actually see the letters now
<mrjones>
also that was 63 packages not 62. ahh..... 62 to update, and 1 new
<mrjones>
almost done... this is fast
<mrjones>
is it naughty if you use [opt] as command key? :P

<Habbie>
waddlesplash, ah, i was wondering about 'other disks' earlier indeed
<mrjones>
I have to say Haiku has come quite a way since 2006/7
<mrjones>
I mean, it boots...
<Habbie>
if it didn't back then, that's some nice progress
<mrjones>
it didn't for me in the pre-alpha days ;)
<Habbie>
i wasn't even aware haiku is 21 years old already
<mrjones>
and in those years the mainstream desktops have managed to regress to an extent that CP/M and GEM look good

<Habbie>
i remember GEM
<Begasus>
waddlesplash, commented on the xorgproto PR
<Begasus>
me too :)
<Begasus>
big floppies ... :)
<PulkoMandy>
Begasus, the build error for Renga is because it tried to build with gloox 1.0.25 instead of 1.0.27, I guess some requires need to be adjusted
<mrjones>
Wordstar on CP/M 2.2 , Amstrad CPC 664. Those were the days. Small floppies, but could withstand a steamroller
<Begas_VM>
thought so PulkoMandy
<Begas_VM>
a revbuld should be enough once gloox is build and available PulkoMandy
<Begasus>
best wait untill buildmaster on 32bit is finished so the packages all end up in the depot
<Begas_VM>
Please avoid running ``setup.py`` directly. (with the new setuptools package, they commend using build/installer or other standard tools nowadays) :)
