<Begasus>
as this has been tested and mentioned at the forum :) 32bit is broken as mentioned there also
<Begasus>
this also clears the way to create a recipe for mednaffe

waddlesplash: yes, i know. And as i said i do have one of those cards, but no agp mainboard for them. but that doesn't really help any modern cards :)
<nephele>
(funnily enough I had a mainboard with an integrated nvidia gpu that was using one of those drivers for modesetting and it was quite hard to convince people devs the board was really using the nvidia driver :P)
<nephele>
vidrep_64: waddlesplash asked for the device id on the ticket you linked, maybe you can add it?

trungnt2910[m], build failure for krb5 on 32bit: https://bpa.st/RU7A
<trungnt2910[m]>
Begasus: X86 secondary arch?
<Begasus>
yep
<Begasus>
primary is marked broken, so that wouldn't work any way ;)
<trungnt2910[m]>
Strange, I ran it once on 32 bit Haikuporter and didn't fail.
<Begasus>
just deleted the branch I grabbed from you and recreated it to have the latest changes
<Begasus>
before the build*
<Begasus>
PS 32bit nightly hrev56214 atm
<trungnt2910[m]>
I'll try it, give me 30 mins.
<Begasus>
out in a bit, heading of to the grandchildren, will see it when I get back

k, let's see how buildmaster deals with it now trungnt2910[m] :)

Arch also lists cmd:ksu in the package content

trungnt2910[m]: so does my FIFO patch help fish

<Begasus> "k, let's see how buildmaster..." <- How long is it from buildmaster to haikudepot?
<trungnt2910[m]>
A script of mine is relying on fetching krb5 from HaikuDepot, can't wait to test it.
<trungnt2910[m]>
waddlesplash: I'm installing it now, as it takes really long to build haiku.hpkg and even longer for haiku_devel.

<trungnt2910[m]>
Hopefully it might help, but I'm not surprise if fish trips in some more asserts (in the tests it is failing a bunch of other asserts)
<waddlesplash>
doesn't make much sense that devel takes longer to build
<trungnt2910[m]>
I... don't know.
<waddlesplash>
you should really try building natively under the VM
<waddlesplash>
it will likely be much faster
<trungnt2910[m]>
I've applied the packages, Haiku is rebooting, will report in a couple of minutes.
<trungnt2910[m]>
<trungnt2910[m]> "Hopefully it might help, but I'm..." <- Just as I expected
<humdinger>
I dunno if only downgrading haiku and not haikuports can lead to problems.
<Vidrep_64>
If you need to test a possible regression in Haiku, then this is easier than downloading iso's and creating a bootable drive or CD
<Vidrep_64>
Our current guide instructions use an old URL and still reference alpha4
<humdinger>
yes. but if there could be interference of a non-downgraded HaikuPorts repo, it may not be 100% reliable.
<humdinger>
yes. question is, if the downgrading part needs to be removed altogether
<Vidrep_64>
I'll play with it a little more and report back

<trungnt2910[m]>
Ohh, "Trung Nguyên", the name.
<trungnt2910[m]>
My name is actually "Nguyễn Trung", if written in Vietnamese order (the family name goes first), but I'm using the Western order on social media.
<trungnt2910[m]>

I feared as much. I'll add that info to the ticket and have the other devs chime in what to do about it.
<win8linux[m]>
There should prolly be a mechanism to set older packages as the active package or something like that.
<humdinger>
yes. as long as the administration folder still has all the needed states, it should be possible, I think.
<humdinger>
it just has to be coded... :)
<Vidrep_64>
humdinger, any feedback (good or bad) about the recent ArtPaint release?
<humdinger>
not really. No votes in HaikuDepot, no comments.
<humdinger>
Begasus reported an issue with the AboutWindow, but that was a negative. just how Haiku's BAboutWindow works.
