ChanServ changed the topic of #aarch64-laptops to: Linux support for AArch64 Laptops (Asus NovaGo TP370QL - HP Envy x2 - Lenovo Mixx 630 - Lenovo Yoga C630)
<HdkR> robclark: nice!
<steev> hm, i don't like that new builddeb change that seems to override localversion_auto stuff

<clover[m]> i think i would use my nub more if it was less sensitive
<clover[m]> idk how to change the sensitivity on this thinkpoint nipple
<schaeffer> clover[m]: for gnome shell at least it Just Worked(tm)
<clover[m]> yes it works, i mean can't you configure the sensitivity somehow?
<schaeffer> as in speed? specifically i meant Settings > Mouse & Touchpad > Mouse > Mouse Speed worked
<schaeffer> sorry, wasn't clear there
<HdkR> Would be a bit annoying if trackpoint speed is tied to other mouse speed
<HdkR> Although you could probably just use xinput to modify the sensitivity directly
<clover[m]> thanks schaeffer. they aren't tied
<clover[m]> mouse = nipple touchpad = touchpad
<HdkR> I meant if you plug in a physical mouse and use that in a "docked" configuration
<HdkR> Trackpoint and Mouse being in the same setting isn't great if you use it like that
<clover[m]> right
<schaeffer> at least for me they're different, so i'm not sure what gnome shell is doing but trackpoint and trackpad speed for the x13s are separately configurable
<schaeffer> just tried fiddling with them both independently to confirm
<schaeffer> but maybe i'm misunderstanding
<HdkR> Touchpad is usually separated in the settings yea
<HdkR> But Trackpoint != Touchpad != Mouse :)
<HdkR> Settings tend to combine Trackpoint and Mouse and keep touchpad separate
<HdkR> Just because trackpoint is really just a mouse, don't tell anyone :P

<steev> man
<steev> a whole lot changed between 6.2.2 and 6.2.7... and we also now have the complaint about missing devicelinks there
Mr0btain has joined #aarch64-laptops
<Mr0btain> working on getting the modem up, I've got it to show up and it shows "4G LTE Contract" about 4 different options. if you try to connect it spazzes out. checking the logs it's flipping back and forth between starting connection and state changed: disconnected.

<mayco> I'm having an issue on a thinkpad x13s where __mod_lruvec_page_state seems to be dereferencing a bogus pointer (https://0bin.net/paste/NJnR7dW6#1wBVmjJG6Zzr4Sl6u7TqPSr-fp7SZjQykhewAv1bBNd). is this a known issue?
<mayco> kernel built from https://github.com/steev/linux/tree/lenovo-x13s-linux-v6.3-rc2. I think I first observed this issue on a 6.2.0 kernel but I don't have a specific commit on that
<mayco> this happens while I'm building kernels, spawning and exiting lots of short-lived processes
<steev> i haven't seen that here
<HdkR> I also haven't seen that
<HdkR> But there are also going to be three more people looking at the device on my end, so maybe someone will see that in the coming weeks
<robclark> mayco: at least that doesn't look like anything qc specific, so I guess just random early-rc issue that others will see on x86/etc and fix
<mayco> yeah, that's what I thought too, but I was also pretty sure I saw it on 6.2.0. guess I'll cross-compile some more kernels with KASAN enabled and see...
