<OscarL> There's one relating the selection rectangle on Tracker's icons labels that I intend to file since.... alpha 4.1, it seems :-) (the rectangle around the label is too short by at least 1 pixel on the right side)
<AlienSoldier> that 1 pixel thing can drive some nutz :)
<OscarL> I keep thinking... I can't be the only one that notice that! :-P
<OscarL> but... then forget to take screenshots and actually file the ticket :-(
<OscarL> Now I might actually have to do it, heh. (but after I make /bin/poke compile)
<AlienSoldier> OscarL here is one to start : https://dev.haiku-os.org/ticket/18149
<OscarL> Nice! Thanks AlienSoldier :-)

<OscarL> AlienSoldier: on 18149... you meant the kernel version? or the kernel date? Because the hrev one is on another ticket, and I fixed that one already.
<AlienSoldier> sorry, the date indeed
<OscarL> Kool, just checking because I was about to add a comment, and was... "wait a minute!" :-D
<AlienSoldier> OscarL also i would group those together (one under the other as they are quite related)
<AlienSoldier> OscarL that is what happen when you make me do something and i am not in the right mood :P

<jessicah> I'm confused, is this my change, or Jerome's change?
<AlienSoldier> i was thinking i filled that one, seem i did not so here is another one https://dev.haiku-os.org/ticket/18151

<Begasus> merge overload I guess ;)
<andreasdr[m]> Nice
<andreasdr[m]> Work horse you are!!!
<nielx[m]> where are all the static libraries going to?
<Begasus> nielx[m], out ...
<waddlesplash> nielx[m]: nowhere, they shouldn't have been shipped in the first place
<waddlesplash> all those packages should be shared-only
<waddlesplash> outsidecontext: ping
<Begasus> waddlesplash, the packages mentioned in the list for x86_gcc2 are supposed to stay I gather
<waddlesplash> Begasus: which?
<Begasus> in the issue
<Begasus> liby/libyasm are static only
<waddlesplash> yes, right
<Begasus> k, thought so, plenty to clean out there but knowing some more makes it a bit easier
<Begasus> starting a build for boost in a bit, only focussing on boost169 and boost170
<Begasus> other laptop chocked on the build (with the fix mentioned by jessicah , not related)
<Begasus> SOURCE_URI changed also for (what I checked) boost169
rennj has joined #haiku
<Begasus> cblas contains a static library also, got error rebuilding, so leaving that one for now

<outsidecontext> waddlesplash: hi
<waddlesplash> so, I left a comment on that ticket
<waddlesplash> I don't have a lot of time right now, but, is there any possibility you could give me remote access to the VM?
<waddlesplash> or, if you have time, you should poke around at all the I/O related threads till you find one that looks like it's supposed to be servicing whatever is going on with that VM wait
<waddlesplash> hmm there's one other possibility which is that the page is spuriously busy
<waddlesplash> however in that case I
<waddlesplash> 'd expect just git to hang and not all IO
<outsidecontext> Ok, will do. I have an issue with the VM on qemu, though. For some reason resuming the suspended VM does fail and I had to restart
<outsidecontext> But I should be able to reproduce another time
<outsidecontext> Do you have any good candidates for threads to investigate?
<waddlesplash> try saving the VM state, maybe
<waddlesplash> once the first hang happens
<waddlesplash> well, you should look at the threads dedicated to I/O, these have many different names
<outsidecontext> Ok
<waddlesplash> probably if you are in a VM you are on some kind of SCSI or SATA drive, unless you explicitly set NVMe
<waddlesplash> so there will be a bunch of "scsi" threads
<waddlesplash> but that won't be the "missing link", there'll be a thread somewhere that is actually servicing the page IO and waiting on the SCSI thread

<Begasus> hi Diver :)
<Begasus> question (general), we've got some recipes for browsers in haikuports atm, now there is a PR for bumping qutebrowser, talks about not enabling texlive makes me think that we have plenty recipes around taking space that aren't used ...

<Begasus> AlienSoldier, you should ask win8linux[m] for that, I'm not familiar with licenses :)
<AlienSoldier> Begasus who asked the vvvv author do port it?

<win8linux[m]> <AlienSoldier> "Begasus do you think the..." <- You should ask that game's creator if they want to use the license.

<AlienSoldier> win8linux[m] don't see the source either, i was just wondering if the port is possible. H0ffman is doing an amiga port so i guess the author is keen to have it multiplatform. Not sure if he use the original source as a base that said.
<win8linux[m]> They could port it to Haiku and ship either the binary in a ZIP archive or a HPKG.
<win8linux[m]> McPixel 3 does this.
<AlienSoldier> this is comming to haiku?

<win8linux[m]> *McPixel 3* has a Haiku binary, but it's statically linked SDL2 doesn't have the necessary Haiku patches to work:
