the one you found regarding AboutSystem's replicant not updating the kernel date, for example, should be easy to fix (by me even! :-P)... but I might forget about it unless I see it on Trac... or you remind me about it in the future :-D

There's one relating the selection rectangle on Tracker's icons labels that I intend to file since.... alpha 4.1, it seems :-) (the rectangle around the label is too short by at least 1 pixel on the right side)
<AlienSoldier>
that 1 pixel thing can drive some nutz :)
<OscarL>
I keep thinking... I can't be the only one that notice that! :-P
<OscarL>
but... then forget to take screenshots and actually file the ticket :-(

Now I might actually have to do it, heh. (but after I make /bin/poke compile)

sorry, the date indeed

Kool, just checking because I was about to add a comment, and was... "wait a minute!" :-D

yeah, store the themes in files instead of in code, and load from a bunch of paths using find_paths API

waddlesplash: hi
<waddlesplash>
so, I left a comment on that ticket
<waddlesplash>
I don't have a lot of time right now, but, is there any possibility you could give me remote access to the VM?
<waddlesplash>
or, if you have time, you should poke around at all the I/O related threads till you find one that looks like it's supposed to be servicing whatever is going on with that VM wait
<waddlesplash>
hmm there's one other possibility which is that the page is spuriously busy
<waddlesplash>
however in that case I
<waddlesplash>
'd expect just git to hang and not all IO
<outsidecontext>
Ok, will do. I have an issue with the VM on qemu, though. For some reason resuming the suspended VM does fail and I had to restart
<outsidecontext>
But I should be able to reproduce another time
<outsidecontext>
Do you have any good candidates for threads to investigate?
<waddlesplash>
try saving the VM state, maybe
<waddlesplash>
once the first hang happens
<waddlesplash>
well, you should look at the threads dedicated to I/O, these have many different names
<outsidecontext>
Ok
<waddlesplash>
probably if you are in a VM you are on some kind of SCSI or SATA drive, unless you explicitly set NVMe
<waddlesplash>
so there will be a bunch of "scsi" threads
<waddlesplash>
but that won't be the "missing link", there'll be a thread somewhere that is actually servicing the page IO and waiting on the SCSI thread

win8linux[m] don't see the source either, i was just wondering if the port is possible. H0ffman is doing an amiga port so i guess the author is keen to have it multiplatform. Not sure if he use the original source as a base that said.

They could port it to Haiku and ship either the binary in a ZIP archive or a HPKG.
