(AGMS) John2, there's a setting in BeOS 5 Network Preferences for NE2000 cards, use the "custom" button to add it. Don't know what IRQ and port you need, try the most common one first.

if you are talking about webkit1 vs webkit2 that is an API destinction, but it is unrelated to the webkit version we use

we do need to move to webkit2 but even when we do that won't make webgl work or make our video streaming code work better ;)

You can probably "just" get a bigger disk for older computers too, many internal ide/sata disks for laptops or netbooks are actually replaceable, especially for older ones

It *also* comes with gcc2.9, but you should not ever use this, unless you want to build haiku itself, or BeOS applications that could not be updated for the itanium abi yet (as in, rely on 2.9 gcc behaviour)

If you use SoftwareUpdater it does the *equivalant* of "pkgman full-sync

Basically, while the package is downloading it will put an extended atribute on the file saving to where it was downloaded

and next time the package kit will reuse the file, since it is the one it wanted, and then figure out it is a partial download and resume
