I owned BeOS in the day, so I decided to try Haiku. When acessing any SSL website, I get "SSL peer certificate or SSH remote key was not OK". Any thoughts? I can browse non-SSL sites.
<jezek2>
jeremy_c: what browser do you use?
<jeremy_c>
jezek2: I started with Web Positive and then installed Web. However, I should have searched the forums first... I see my error, my date is wrong on the computer I am testing with... dug out an old laptop...
<jeremy_c>
Setting date now and will try again. It's Apr 2021 here :-)

not sure why it wasn't syncronizing at boot, that option is selected.

I am on Wifi, not wired. Maybe not syncing when I connect to WiFi, but trying literally at boot?

Still thinking about Haiku being able to recover from a kernel panic.
<win8linux[m]>
How can that happen in the first place?
<win8linux[m]>
Kernel panics on any other OS usually aren't recoverable or at least, results in a running system afterwards.

It was an NMI interrupt that caused a recoverable kernel panic on an old laptop.

<andreasdr[m]>
In computing, a non-maskable interrupt (NMI) is a hardware interrupt that standard interrupt-masking techniques in the system cannot ignore. It typically occurs to signal attention for non-recoverable hardware errors. Some NMIs may be masked, but only by using proprietary methods specific to the particular NMI.
