<coolcoder613_32>
on 32-bit: build-requires "haiku_devel" of package "digger-20020314" could not be resolved
<Begasus>
this should be haiku_x86_devel?
<Begasus>
how are you building it?
<coolcoder613_32>
haikuporter digger
<coolcoder613_32>
same error with anura
<Begasus>
that shouldn't be possible :)
<augiedoggie>
you need to add _x86 to the names
<Begasus>
as gcc2 is marked broken "!x86_gcc2"
<Begasus>
right
<coolcoder613_32>
Error: anura_x86 not found in repository
<Begasus>
let me boot into 32bit ...
<Begasus>
what about digger (is your master branch uptodate)?
<coolcoder613_32>
yes
<augiedoggie>
your haikuports.conf is set up for building secondary arch packages?
<coolcoder613_32>
How do id o that?
<Begasus>
ah! :)
<Begasus>
uncomment this line: #SECONDARY_TARGET_ARCHITECTURES="x86"
<coolcoder613_32>
now its working...
<Begasus>
+1 :)
<coolcoder613_32>
build-requires "devel:glm" of package "anura_x86-4.0.2" could not be resolved
<Begasus>
this is a header only package for "any" arch, can you search with "pkgman search glm"?
<Begasus>
forgot to plug in the power supply on the 32bit one :)

maybe conflicting with another boost_devel package?

coolcoder613_32, are you running haikuporter from the package or from a git checkout?
<coolcoder613_32>
from git, the package had a too short wget timeout
<Begasus>
ah k, waddlesplash merged a PR there yesterday that informs you now with conflicting packages

erysdren: I don't understand why no one created the "Games" entry in deskbar yet. If there is one category that's obvious and not problematic, it's this one
<PulkoMandy>
So let's do it and get things started with categorizing Deskbar
<erysdren>
i would like to categorize the games i've ported (at the very least) under Games
<PulkoMandy>
If you start this you have to do all the games in Haikuports :> (but other people can help with it)

it can be done. but it will take time

<erysdren>
the real issue is whether haikuports will accept it
<Begasus>
erysdren, create an issue at haikuports for it
<Begasus>
doesn't Gentoo use some kind of menu layout also?
<erysdren>
my first step was gonna be to do a PR on haikuporter to add a shell scriplet
<erysdren>
if yall wanna give your thoughts or add a thumbs up rating
<Begasus>
nice :)
<Habbie>
erysdren, haha, that's how i came in here a few months ago - but with "i will file PRs until I can do embedded software development with Haiku" :D

[haikuports/haikuports] Begasus e06f7d7 - anura, add icon and application info (#9650)
<Begasus>
come to think of this, frogatto is "any" but anura isn't, so this makes that frogatto can't be "any" if it needs secondary arch package for 32bit?
<Begasus>
biab

jmairboeck, any word on the perl issues/PR's (also the one from korli)?
<jmairboeck>
I didn't have much time the last few weeks. For me, any solution is good, I don't mind which one we use. we can also leave perl primary arch only.

for me too, could live without frozen_bubbles on 32bit for now :)
<jmairboeck>
maybe that could be fixed by not including pango, I'm not sure if it is actually needed. SDL itself shouldn't be a problem for gcc2.
<jmairboeck>
Next week, I'll have a bit more time to check this, hopefully.
<Begasus>
k, thanks for this +1

[haikuports/haikuports] Begasus 25df6cf - clamav, use recent rust version for 32bit (#9655)
<Begasus>
how come 32bit buildmaster still uses an old rust version?
cocobean has joined #haiku
<Begasus>
hi there cocobean
<cocobean>
Cause it is rusty?
<cocobean>
Hi begasus (just kidding)
<Begasus>
rust 1.15 links to old libssl :P
<Begasus>
and should be superseded by newer versions?
* Begasus
looks at nielx[m] ... :)

<cocobean>
I thought we updated this during the firefox ESR build test era....
<Begasus>
openssl and rust have been updated, having older rust versions lying around doesn't help
<waddlesplash>
need to deactivate the package then
<Begasus>
that's up to the maintainers there waddlesplash :)
<Begasus>
weird that up to 1.21.0 sec arch is still disabled and yet 1.15.0 is still being used (I don't know if it's a hardcoded version at buildmasters)
<Begasus>
on 64bit this doesn't seem to be a problem

erysdren: there is an idea to have deskbar use queries instead of directories, but this was proposed 10 years ago and no one worked on it since…
<PulkoMandy>
I think the Games folder would still make sense while we wait for a better solution
