I fixed the recipes and recompiled OpenSceneGraph (OSG) and SimGear (FlightGear) again. Eventually, will need to iconvert the OSG graphic viewer piece for Haiku.
<cocobean>
So, that re-fixed all of the dependencies of FlightGear for now (yes, it still compiles).

Hello! When I try to invoke build over SSH it fails because some environment variables are not set (for example LIBRARY_PATH or BEINCLUDES). Now I understand that when I connect with SSH I get non-interactive shell and /boot/system/settings/etc/profile is not loaded. My question is: should those missing variables also be set for non-interactive shells?
countryboy has left #haiku [#haiku]
mmu_man has joined #haiku
<waddlesplash>
maquak: use a login shell for ssh
<waddlesplash>
BEINCLUDES is a legacy environ, LIBRARY_PATH is the important one
countryboy has joined #haiku
<waddlesplash>
anyway, LIBRARY_PATH is set in SetupEnvironment
<waddlesplash>
but indeed it's not set for sshd I suppose
mishima has quit [Ping timeout: 480 seconds]

<maquak>
Do you know if it should be? I can live with login shell, but if it's a bug I might just try and fix it
<maquak>
I just don't know if it's a bug :D
<waddlesplash>
possibly it should be, but fixing it may not be trivial
<waddlesplash>
this is all related to launch_daemon stuff
<waddlesplash>
why is LIBRARY_PATH causing a problem actually?
<nephele>
I don't think sshd should get the user enviroment, it's running as a daemon
<waddlesplash>
yes, indeed it shouldn't
<nephele>
doesn't sshd use the normal "user" shell for logging in to a user?
<nephele>
that is the process that'd determine what the "type" of session is and what to include
<waddlesplash>
yes, but that's when you log in
<waddlesplash>
if you just use ssh to run a single command, things may be different
<waddlesplash>
it won't spawn a login shell in that case
Okami has quit [Ping timeout: 480 seconds]
<nephele>
Well, you tell it to either run a single command, or run an interactive session, i think those should be different indeed
mishima has quit [Ping timeout: 480 seconds]
<nephele>
maybe we should rely less on the user setup script and move some stuff out to be more trivially added to the enviroment, preferably without having to spawn a shell instance

This will be something really hardcore. I never did anything like this before. They work on something really hightech stuff.

(AGMS) extrowerk_, congrats on surviving the quarantine. I've worked in places with lots of high powered PhDs doing statistics on telephone network traffic. But they had me there to do the programming side of things, writing simulators and the tedious side of getting traffic data into the simulation (lots of mag tapes from the exchanges). So, you're there to do what you're good at.
<nephele>
I don't imagine that quarantine would be very fun :)

waddlesplash, the problem is that when I run jam I get errors like: "runtime_loader: Cannot open file libroot.so(needed by /boot/system/bin/cat): No such file or directory"

yes, that is related to library path indeed
