So there's a computer, we learned kumir(programming language) on computers and this pc had it but it hadn't worked(win7)

KUMIR is a complex of learning worlds

in simple terms it is a programming language with Russian command(it has a Robot executor which can go up down left right and fill the current cell)

And I install antix linux(prebuilt by me) on this pc

Then tecnology teacher wanted me to install KUMIR and Robbo Scratch 3 on laptop with Calculate Linux preinstalled

It was a little headache, because I had to reset root password(teacher didn't know it) but GRUB trick didn't work because GRUB had a password(what a heck?!) and I've resetted password using chroot and arch linux

Lesson: You can't protect a PC with anything short of full disk encryption, or a BIOS password

And this linux was gentoo based, but even without gentoo proper knowledge I managed to install KUMIR(it required qt4 but system hadn't qt4 in repos) and I directly extracted libs from debian 10

@coolcoder613 hmm yes bios password won't stop me(hehe) but if there was a LUKS encryption, it would be a pain for me

already did a check on 64bit on a clean install, Qt5 can run there with ICU74 (now uses ICU66)

Begasus: anything that uses QuakeC (bytecode scripting format) will work, but Quake 2 will require a build from source for the game SO

and Q3 probably the same? not sure.

Quake and Hexen II should work with just the data, same with the games ive made, since i use the stock engine binary + custom assets and QuakeC scripting

I've passed on porting and packaging many games wherein the assets were only hosted on itch.

I think of installing Linux or Haiku onto a SATA SSD using a more traditional PC, and then just plugging the SSD into the Mac

in any case, you need to build a "normal" disk image, not an anyboot with efi

so the mac will fall back to MBR booting

one thing that stops me is that the Mac is tricky to disassemble, and another is that my Raspberry Pi hosts have more RAM and possibly about as much CPU power

phschafft: yeah, we had some tornadoes rip through here. TONS of homes damaged by trees but nothing like the Oklahoma stuff. My family was very fortunate (only one tree fell on our property and it landed on our detached garage and only damaged the vent. So blessed.
